i KNEW that phrase, i'd heard it before... about 5 years ago when he got an offer to do a rotation in dallas.
i braced myself. please don't say argentina...
"bakersfield, california."

well. that definitely wasn't what i was expecting. bakersfield? what is even in bakersfield??
turns out, there's a company owned by exxon and shell, called aera energy.
and randy is their new tax manager ((big promotion, super proud wife!))!

so randy has been in cali since the end of september, and i've just been living here, trying to get our house sold ((spoiler alert! it didn't.)), chasing after my kids and watching lots of hallmark movies to get my mind off missing my husband!...and also he hates hallmark movies, so this was my big chance to watch them all without his lovely commentary.
the kids and i officially head out on january 14th, so keep us all in your prayers as we start our new life in the golden state ((and, duh, totally had to look that up.))
